It's A... Fixer-Upper

Yep, that's right. As of this afternoon KCA and I are proud new owners of a 1949 fixer-upper. After a long and arduous battle, victory is ours; it feels great!

 I decided that I would start this blog to serve multiple purposes:

1. to keep all of our friends and family, both near and far, updated (although if you're near you will probably get bribed with pizza and beer to participate in many of the projects to come)
2. to have a sort of virtual scrap-book
3. to use as proof to our future children that they have "the coolest and most hard-working parents ever" (kind of joking)

I will do my best throughout this process to update this blog as often as I can.

I want to also take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support and love. We wouldn't be who we are today without all of you. We look forward to spending many happy days filled with laughter and your smiling faces, after all that is what makes a house a home.
